我评：项羽在鸿门宴上错失良机，所谓“一招不慎，满盘皆输”，项羽失去了最佳时机。项羽不如刘邦心硬，想想刘邦的“分我一杯羹”就知道了。项羽用人之道远不如刘邦，有一范增而不能用，此项羽之失，其实韩信也曾是项羽手下，但他不会用人。
大概要算《史记·郦生陆贾列传》里的一段记载了。
败于不肯纳谏————楚霸王项羽。
1964年的一次谈话中，毛泽东指出：项羽有三个错误，如鸿门宴不听范增的话，放跑了刘邦；鸿沟协定，他认真了；建都徐州，那时叫彭城。
(项羽)失败原因，特别是毛泽东对其失败原因的看法，我们着重叙述了不肯纳谏、不善用人这个方面。那么，项羽为什么不能纳谏和用人呢？这便和他主观上的弱点有关。在毛泽东看来，崇尚“沽名”，就是项羽主观上的一个明显弱点，也是他失败的一个原因。
